The second pedal to drop from the Custom Badass Series, this stompbox is basically home to a seventies style vintage overdrive that's been levelled with the uber-modern functions and increased flexibility needed to unleash a broad array of possible sound profiles to suit an even broader range of genres and playing styles. Learn to control this drive pedal and harness everything from a subtle, frayed-edge with a focussed EQ, to thick and heavy overdrive with a low and mid-range boost. The Many Faces of the Custom Badass Modified O.D. Various tweaking options are provided without the control panel getting over fussy, so the face of the Custom Badass 77 overdrive is actually pretty clean, clear and intuitive, where three standard-issue Tone, Output, and Gain pots have been lined up at the ready. But what really marks this stompbox out from most is the 100Hz Cut/Boost pot and a little button called the 'Bump'. With the 100Hz pot, the bass can be boosted or completely filtered out, while the Bump button activates an alternative EQ voicing with enhanced lows and mids, shaping a full-fat sound that smashes through the mix - ideal for more raw work! A Beast of a True-Bypass Overdrive Also offering maximum peace of mind, the MXR M77 is a True Hardwire Bypass pedal. In other words, the hardware circuitry is such that, when the pedal isn't active, your signal remains uncoloured and retains full integrity.
